    Tac One Issues

Hello all! I just recently purchased a Tac One. When I got it I never had a chance to fire it because I traded my stock on/off for a ULT on/off. The guy traded me because the ULT didn't work with his Pneumag. Anyways I got a chance to fire it today. At first it would shoot once, then I would have to disconnect the air source and re air it up to shoot it again. After putting 4 drops of oil in the ASA and continueing to disconnect and reconnect my air I got it to fire up to around 10 shots at a time without problems. But now I can hear a small leak in my on/off. I'm new to the Tac One and I don't really know anything. Any help would be appreciated!

So other than the leak it's firing just fine?

simply replace all the seals in the on/off.

Also, how many shims do you have in the ULT on/off out of curiosity?

I have 4 shims in my ULT (obviously) On/Off, I'll replace the o-rings then. Thanks!

Where can I get the o-rings? Would this kit have everything I need?

That kit is the one you should get to have on hand in case you have any issues with your valve. The ULT oring kit is different. I can't find one on the AGD site. You'll have to call AGD or get a hold of Tunaman here on AO.

For your problems, make sure you aren't getting bolt stick due to a carrier that is too tight. Remove all the powertube shims from your level 10 setup and install the largest carrier that does not leak. Always use the same white carrier oring when changing carrier sizes. This will ensure that your level 10 is functioning properly. After that, you can go about tuning your ULT. If it is leaking clean the on-off area. Also, take the ULT apart and inspect the orings and clean the area around them. Flip the tiny black oring upside down. If it was leaking in one direction, it may work in the other. The leak is probably a piece of dirt on the outer urethane oring.

Awesome! Thanks athomas! More noobie questions are coming though.

I don't really know what a "carrier" is or how to replace it...Could you explain?

Where can I buy carriers at? I don't have any that came with the marker.

Should I hold off on messing with the On/Off until I figure out my carrier problem? From what you said it wouldn't make too much sense to fix my on/off when I don't know if my Level 10 is working properly...

How/what parts of the marker should be lubed and how do I go about doing that?

Just to add I bought this marker and it had been sitting around for 3 years unused previously. Then I got it and before I tested it with the stock on/off I put in a used ULT. So I really don't know if I received it in working condition or not.

Most of the questions are answered in the other thread.

You should get the marker up and running smoothly using the retro on-off first if you have it. You will need carriers to properly tune the level 10.

As for lubrication, just add a couple of drops in your ASA or into the side of the valve if you have a disconnect there. The orings don't have to be dripping wet, just moist to aid in movement. Many people over oil their guns to compensate for other sticking problems caused by something that is not properly tuned.

Don't grease or oil the outside of the bolt. The oil will transfer to the balls and inside of the breach. This will cause all sorts of inaccuracy issues until you clean it off.

Is there anywhere that I should use grease on? Or is the oil in the ASA all that is necessary?

Grease is used on the spring pack in the back of the adjuster. That is just to keep it from rusting.

Got it! Hopefully I can get ahold of Tunaman soon.
