    Clear Coat?

    Hey All,
I was thinking about doing some custom milling on my baby (Mag) and had a question. I know if you remove the Anno from Aluminum you need to do something so that the Aluminum doesn't oxidize, right?

I guess my question is, what would I need to use as a clear coat if I start milling my Mag? I would hate to leave any untreated aluminum exposed.

I might send a PM to RedRider because I know he is familiar with this.

    Thanks,

bare aluminum will turn dullish grey if left untreated.

Mill your mag then polish it up when you are done. Then you can re anno it.
Did you hear about the new european weapons contracts? France is going to make the wooden sticks Spain making the little white flags

actually, I was going to carve the trigger of my iFrame. That's what I need the clear coat for, I am aware that the bodies are SS.

So I still need to know what to use as a clear coat...

          Thanks,

Just leaving it raw should be fine if it is the trigger only.
