Pure Energy adjustable verticle asa regulator can i run high pressure through it?

    hey guys,

I bought this regulator( http://www.paintballxpert.com/store-..._41518772.html ) for my vertical asa so that I can run gas through fore grip on my micro mag. I am going stainless quick disconnect from the vertical to my e mag valve and then from the reg to my max flow adjustable reg I am just running a macro line.

My concern is that this regulator may restrict flow from my max flow to my e mag valve and reduce RT effect. The add says it is adjustable but should I just get a straight gas through grip and avoid the reg altogether?

    Thanks!

    Yes.

The valve on any automag has a built in regulator. That's what the back half of the valve is. You don't need (or want) an additional regulator; all that will do is (potentially) starve the valve and (almost certainly) kill the R/T effect you're getting now. Even if you set this reg to its maximum output, it'll still be reducing the pressure from tank to valve.

I agree. Each regulator needs at least 200psi differential between input and output to provide adequate air flow. If you are running a level 10 valve, then the chamber pressure is somewhere around 500psi, so you need at least 700 psi into your valve. At 700 psi, you won't get much if any rt effect. At the 700 psi output from a middle regulator, you would need to feed it 900psi to maintain air flow. Even then, since there is a bit of lag in each regulator, the combined air flow will never be as good as a straight connection from bottle to mag valve.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Considering the regulator, you'd probably need a 1200psi output tank minimum, and even then that'd barely facilitate the R/T effect.

crap well that sucks cause I was hoping to just use it as a gas through fore grip.

Whats a good gas through that won't slow down the pressure to my valve? The swivel bottom of the Pure Energy reg I bought is kind of a nice feature which I would prefer to carry over to my new grip.

Thanks for your help guys...I just ordered a flat black CP gas thru. I have an adjustable max flow coming from DarkBlade and I just got my macro line kit in so I should be able to setup my marker within a week or so...then I'll have to debate a better hopper (have a standard revy now) and maybe a double trigger frame. We will see how it shoots with the 1100 to 1200 psi directly to the emag valve
