    Upgrade advise need!

I had decided to upgrade my automag 68, instead of bying a new gun, but I need some advise before doing anything.

    1. I want to run my nitro from the gun, before I use a remote which I am sick of it breaks too easy. My question is what do I need? I need a drop forward right? Any suggestion on a drop forward? I had no idea on how to set it up, is it easy to do it can I do it myself?

    2. Will I be benefid form having a expantion chamber? (running nitro)

    4. I already had the 32 degree venturi bolt, what is the difference of between the superbolt and the ventrri bolt.

    5. If I am not using a wrap feed should I get the Intellifeed frame?

    thanks

First off, what kind of nitro do you have? That will help A LOT. I am, for this post, going to assume you have a pre-set, screw-in tank.

    1. I want to run my nitro from the gun, before I use a remote which I am sick of it breaks too easy. My question is what do I need? I need a drop forward right? Any suggestion on a drop forward? I had no idea on how to set it up, is it easy to do it can I do it myself?
It is VERY easy. At the very least you will need an ASA (back bottle or vert bottle adapter) and the air fittings (micro/macro/stell braided)

You can get a nice drop forward, and most companies make an ASA for their drops, so you just screw it on to the drop, and the tank into that.

    2. Will I be benefid form having a expantion chamber? (running nitro)
No. I have heard that this will actually hirt the performance of nitro, but I can't say either way, because I simply don't know. I do know that it won't help, as nitro is stored in gas form in the tank.

    4. I already had the 32 degree venturi bolt, what is the difference of between the superbolt and the ventrri bolt.
The superbolt is a delrin/steel hybrid that is designed to reduce recoil and increase bolt-open time. I would recommend this over ANY aftermarked bolt, simply because it is made by AGD.

    5. If I am not using a wrap feed should I get the Intellifeed frame?
I have an IntelliFrame and don't run a warp. If you are still using the stock AGD frmae, BUY AN INTELLIFRAME. I love mine. If you have another brand, double trigger frame, you can probably get by with that. I am a big proponent of AGD products, so of course I would suggest replaceing another brand trigger frame with and AGD.

    Hope this helps...

On the drop forward question...you might consider buying a drop with an on/off. It makes life a little bit easier!

          on/off

if you get an on/off get a GOOD one. i have had problems with on/offs. i currently use a drop without it.

and, i LOVE my intelliframe! beats the hell out of my old benchmark!
You can hide, but please don't run!

I was looking at the pictures post over the main forum. I saw a lot of people had the e-lcd frame. I had ask this question before when the elcd just came out, different people had different opinions about it. Back then, there is no intelliframe. I want to know which one do u guys suggest to get, elcd or intelliframe? I have already ordered the retro valve from agd. Thanks!

In my opinion the trigger pull given by a retro valve/inteliframe combination is every bit as good as most electronic triggers I have shot. It is very short and 'snappy.'

                A must have IMHO

                good luck

                  upgrades

Trust me, do not put a aftermarket on off in your gun, the stock one is all the air flow the valve needs, you will be wasting your money, and that is straight from agd mouth. The only upgrade you need is a good barrel, (armson stealth) upgrade your air to a hpa if you do not already have one. If you need a new trigger frame get a intelliframe, but you can get a cheaper one from benchmark and you can still wire a revvy hopper to it. But before doing any of this get a retro valve it rocks. If you want to tear the field up get the retro valve and a hyper frame.

only problem is, the hyperframe requires the use of their aftermarket on/off (included) Someone reviewed this product (warpig i think) and said that the aftermarket on/off caused extreme wear in the sear, and after about 800 shots the sear no longer caught the bolt. Just a word of caution... However, if you have easy access to a rep from Centerflag Im sure they would find the right length on/off for your specific gun (that was the problem with the one in the review i think). From what I hear they have pretty good customer support, and if I remember correctly the reviewer said that they are present at all of the big name tourneys...

Actually, I think everyone means an On/Off ASA, what the tank screws into. Not the On/Off valve in the Reg. Except this guy, I think he means the Reg On/Off:
the hyperframe requires the use of their aftermarket on/off
BTW - you guys are right, aftermarket internals screw up the mag. Stick with AGD, buy the iFrame. Save the $$ off the LCD and spend it on paint.

                        Later ~

                          on off

I know you have to use the hyperframe on off, I meant the other aftermarket on offs that are out there that people put on there mags that the manufacture say they al;low more air flow which is not true and does not make the mag perform any better, if you put a hyperframe and uese their on off it rocks
