    Ball breakage problems

Hello, I'm brand new to this forum and am in need of some advice. I have a nice little automag powerfeed on air with various upgrades that continuously breaks paint. About 1 in 4 balls!!! I have 4 barrels, have tried many different paints, different bolts etc. etc., and I'm just about ready to sell this gun because basically it is unusable at present. Velocity is fine and yes I know how to test ball/ barrel compatibility. What else could it be? What should I try? Thanks in advance to all those who take the time to write, I appreciate it a lot!

    Hey! Welcome
I would try the plastic nubbins if you don't have them...that solved my breaking problems.
Call AGD and they will send you a Parobolic feed plug for free if you register your gun...that could help to...couldn't hurt anyway!
And might as well say it before anyone else does..it could be user error:) You're not short stroking the trigger are you?

the more info with details the better. we will do evry thing possible to get your gun working great. Make sure your not short stroaking ,slash, half fingering the trigger. this will cause you to chop paint very badly.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

I have the stock bolt which is currently foamiless. The local guru says they are better this way. I also have a 10 hole bolt that eats detents. I recently installed a benchmark double finger trigger and frame. There are no scratches anywhere as far as I know. As for pressure into the marker...maybe I'm totally ignorant but I thought this self regulating. Temperature is about 10 degrees C.

I'm not sure this is relevant, but in case it is I'll ask. I switched from CO2 to air not too long ago and the gun worked perfectly for the first few months on air. But some say I should change "the piston". Opinions?

            Thanks again.

There is such a thing as a HPA piston...at least they sell them as one! That shouldn't be causing your breakage though.
Unless you are fluctuating a lot over the chrono I would say yours is fine. I have heard that if you have a level 7 mag then it should have the hpa piston already installed.

I still recommend you try the plastic nubbins first...it could be a cheap fix for you...email me or catch me on aim I can probably come up with an extra one for you.

your local guru is dumb. a fomie bolt isnt nesisaraly better but it isnt worse eather. I like the fomie because it seams to be easier on brittler paint. The stock hardnose is good too thow. I used my stock one for 5 years.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

i noticed you changed trigger fraims. has the pin behind your trigger ben adjusted. evry time i change trigger fraims i have to adjust my trigger rod. If not, the trigger rod lingth isnt always right and could cause problems.

                    ok ok ok

first off find out if your detent is in the barrel and is adjusted (shouldent stick into the barell more then a match book width and still stop a ball from rolling in),then find out how much pressure is going from your air bottle to your marker(there should be gauges, the one you want is output pressure, shoud be marked on the reg or on the gauge 800 psi max.)as far as i know there is no self regulating regs like what you think ,next cheak your bolt spring it should sit past the bolt tip when its just sitting on top of it(out of the marker,ie hold bolt in your hand and sit spring on top of it),chrono your marker and see if fps of ball is high.
you dont need to change any thing to run air from stock set up(other then output of air system to 800 psi,and if its a pre set then you dont have to do that)
ok whats the weather like out side???been raining??
the more you answer the more it helps
just take a little time and we`ll have it fixed
                    BEEFY.
