    x-mag solenoid issue..maybe

    Ok battery fully charged
    100% oiled
in trigger test mode the HES is recognizing the trigger pull.

When in E mode gun doest not fire. I have to pull the trigger about 5 or 6 times.
Onc e i get it to fire if i walk the trigger it will fire normally but if i one shot it take two ir three pulls to get it to cycle.
In Mech mode the first pull does or does not work but after first cycle it works.

So i pulled off the grip cover and watched the solenoid. When in Emode and i pull trigger the solenoid moves down a bit,,,then another pull...more closer...then another until finally it cycles.

I think i need a new solenoid but need conformation or anyother ideas...
    thanks guys
who cares how your marker looks...just move fast and shoot straight

Check the solenoid resistance with a multimeter. I believe it should read 3 ohms. It could be that your plunger rod is bent or the length could be off. Does the plunger slide freely in the sleeve when you tip the marker 45 degrees down to the side and back.

Ok sounds good...i think the fact that it i can walk it pretty good take out the bent part and i never messed with the length so curious how it could move enough to have that much of an effect...ill check out the resistance.

You're probably right, but it might be something to check and it would be less expensive than a solenoid.

looks like length is good...closing in on it being the solenoid...could just be the plunger...more than likely sending it out.

          Thanks for your help ArmyEngineer!!!!

Hey man, I try to offer good advice but I'm no pro. I would probably wait a day or two longer just in case someone more knowledgeable decides to chime in. Any word on the solenoid resistance?

You can check the solenoid operation by cutting the wires and stripping a bit of the ends. Then take a pair of alligator clips and attaching them to the battery (removed from the emag). Attach one lead to one of the bare solenoid wires. Then touch the other lead to the other solenoid wire. This bypasses all electronics. If the solenoid is functional, the plunger should pull in. You can do this with or without air. To really determine if it has any power, it needs to be aired up.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
