    Pure Energy fill nipple

On my 88/45 PE tank the fill nipple is in such a position that I have to degas and unscrew the tank about a 1/4 turn to hook it up to a fill station. I could just gas it up in that position but i feel more comfortable with if it screws all the way in...

Can I change the fill nipple to a different port? or if I added a spacer in the asa so it wont screw in as far?

    your thoughts please.

You can change it to your gauge port but unscrewing it 1/4 of a turn, hell a full turn isn't going to cause a problem. The wost it's going to do is degas your marker or blow your tank oring.

You should be able to turn the tank 1/4 turn without degassing. The other option, as mentioned, is to exchange the fill nipple and high pressure tank gauge.

If you put a shim in the ASA to prevent the tank from screwing in as far, it could starve the gun.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I had the exact same problem. My solution was to get rid of the drop forward.

true, I didn't use a drop until now, but I kinda like it with it being a bigger tank and me a smaller guy.

I have yet to play with the drop in a game, so that is still an option but I wont know until my gun is returned to me hopefully before LL3...

thanks for the responses, the main problem with swapping gauge and fill nipple is then the nipple is poking me in my wrist.

These adjusting clips work nicely for me. They are different thicknesses and prevent you from screwing the tank into the ASA all the way, while still maintaining a tight fit.

They have a kit with just the clips and a kit with the clips and a magnetic nipple cover.

Nice find, I bet I could buy some form ninja while at LL3 so I won't have to pay shipping
