    Retro Valve question

So I'm new to the Retro Valves...I used to use Mags back in the 90's but I recently purchased a Retro Valve Micromag and I'm wondering if the RT parts kits are sufficient for these valves or is there a Retro Parts kit available? I've been looking around and cant seem to find one on the AGD website.

Second question is will the Inteliframes fit a 2000 Retro Valve Micromag ?

    Thx

An RT parts kit is for the classic RT, for a retro valve you need an X valve parts kit, an Intelli will fit that gun just fine yes.

Perfect ! Thanks for the info. I'll be cruising the Level 10 bolt thread once I put that on next.

One more quick question. Is the ULE trigger kit just as good as the Inteliframe with regards to making the trigger pull smoother? Any big advantage from one or the other?

The ULE Trigger pull kit is an "on/off assembly" like the stock on/off, but is adjustable. Makes your trigger pull very light but adds another adjustment to contend with. The intelliframe is just the gripframe.

Thanks for the info I was just reading on the AGD description and it says "Easy installation / Drop-In retrofit for X-Valves, Emag Valves or Modified Retro-Valves"

What exactly is the modification that needs to be done?

you can use both at the same time, in fact most modern mags do in order to combine the two-finger trigger frame (the intelliframe) with a very light pull (The ULE on/off trigger pull kit)

I think you have to drill out the on/off area.. I think Tuna does it but it didn't seem like it was worth the effort. I wouldn't bother with it up front personally, especially if you don't have a decent gripframe yet.

The Intelli frame and ULT are different things. The intelli frame is just a double trigger 45 frame. The ULT trigger kit replaces the on/off assymbly. It drops the triggrt pull down to almost as light as a electro gun. The problem however is your ReTro valve will more than likely not accept it. Remove your on/off and look in the valve. If there is a step in the bottom your going to need to have it modified to use a ULT in it. Its modified by milling the step out.

The 2000 Micromag has a decent 2 finger trigger frame so thats why I was wondering if there was any REAL benefit for swapping to the Inteliframe. But from the sounds of it I think I'd just be better off keeping my stock frame and looking into the "mod" needed for the ULE kit.

Or just try to sell your ReTro valve and get an X instead, no need to modify it. Or don't bother at all :) Until I pneu'ed, I never bothered with ULT.. in my experience, it doesn't make it walkable anyway because of the pull length and I never had any issue with the heaviness of my ReTro valve pull.

Well I'm really trying to keep the gun with the matching valve but from the sounds of it I don't know if this mod is really worth it or not.

                        Thanks for the info !

I don't personally think it's worth the effort, especially not if you have a ReTro valve.

Yea I'm starting to lean that direction. I think I'll just stick to the level 10 bolt kit and call it a day.

Just looking around and saw that you can by this from AGD :

                              "On/Off Assembly .750 - RT ULE/RT Pro/Retro/RT/X-Valve"

By purchasing this on/off would this not bypass having to have the stock on/off drilled to fit the ULE trigger kit?
