    Annodizing question

Can anyone refer me to a good site for getting a new Anno job on my Micromag? I'm trying to restore it to "like new" condition and it definitely needs a new Anno job. Its a matte black Micro so I'm not sure if this would need to be Annodized or Powder coated as I'm unsure how PTP originally did the finish.

    Any suggestions?

PS: This would include the body, grip frame and barrel back to a "like new" flat black finish.

You looking for matte or dust finish? If so, I would recommend http://chicometalfinishing.com/

Typical film thicknesses can go all the way to .0035
Wow...I need to read up on this hard ano deal. Looks promising.

Looking for the Matte finish. I think that's more close to way they came stock.

The 2 mags in my last post just got pack from Chico. I sent in my drop from my T2 and had them color match it for the mags. They were already gloss so I had the lime green added instead of the gloss black. I have 2 barrel tips done in Lime green dust if you would like to see a pic of them also.

Looks really good. I like the wood grip machine gun look of the first one. A+ for original on that one

I called the guy at the Chico shop. Said I'd have to sent him some pics for a quote. Said usually $50 per piece depending on if it needs to be bead blasted or not. Seemed kind of expensive. Still on the fence about the restoration.

$50/piece is a little high from what I've been quoted. I've been shopping some quotes from different guys for 22 pieces and I've been quoted from ~$220-250 total.

That seems pretty fair considering that many pieces. I'm only really looking for the grip frame, body and barrel. I would think ~$100 would be a fair price to anno those. I'm almost considering trying to paint them myself with a flat black spray paint. That could end up a disaster though
