It's not 1/4" OD tube. It is smaller than that.Originally posted by druidhttp://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Stee.../dp/B00137QE7M

Yes, the original line is a smaller diameter (1/8 or 3/16) but the 1/4 will work. You just need to buy the correct fittings for whatever diameter line you get.

If I remember correctly... Isn't the hardline for a CCI Phantom the same diameter as the RT line? I think it may be the same length as well. I will have to check and report back

I'll concede that but I was also going off the safe-from-bursting aspect in the specs:Originally posted by TunamanIt's not 1/4" OD tube. It is smaller than that.
Brand Name Small Parts

Outside Diameter Tolerance +/-0.004 inches
Inside Diameter 0.152 inches
Wall Thickness 0.049 inches
Overall Length 36 inches
Maximum Pressure 6125 Pounds Per Square Inch

Specification Met MIL-T-8808B
.....and according to those figures, any HP tank configured for "RT effect" needs will need a more robust line for the higher tank reg pressures used.
Aside from the RT effect - The 1/4" also allows for greater air flow to the valve. In a typical "ASA, to VA, to Valve" configuration...the bottle reg could suffer from a recharge rate issue...but since the line's pressurized to the valve, it could redeem some older regs' flow issues...was just a thought...
