    Carrier stuck...

Went to remove the carrier from the power tube and it is stuck. Put some oil in there to see it would come out with no luck. Any suggestions on removing it? Thanks in advance and God Bless!

Use your field strip screw. Stick it down the PT and into the carrier hole. Apply presure downward and give it a half turn then pull it out.

I always use a small allen wrench. Stick the curved part down the hole and use the long side as leverage, but dont push too hard. do this many times while changing the position in a circular motion.

use the field strip screw. If you scratch the inside of the powertube with your allen wrench it will leak...forever.

wow, I guess I was lucky this whole time... That is really good to know, I'll have to pick up a regular set screw sometime. I can't use my field strip screw, its a banjo bolt...

Or just pick up a cheap pair of snap-ring plyers

              ANY 10-32 screw will work.

snap ring pliers are for snap rings. There arent any snap rings in your mag.

True, but they grab the inside of the carrier nicely without marring anything up.
