Need help with PE reactor reg question

After farting around for weeks, I've finnaly found the source of the problems with the wife's mag. The peanut 45/45 I bought her has a low pressure reg on it. Its a pure energy reactor reg, which are user rebuildable by what I have read. I've done everything, except contact PE, to find one and have not seen one for sale, only low pressure kits. Is it worth trying to find a HP kit for this thing? Or should I just drop $25 on a cheapie replacement and toss this one? I have to keep the bottle, she loves it, plus its got a fresh hydro. We only shoot mags, so this thing is just plain useless to us as it.

Can you get the reg apart? can't you just shim the spring to increase the output pressure? I think their low pressure kit is a shim kit right? just add those shims to the existing ones and your output should increase.

Unless I have that backwards.. But I don't think so. Someone else chime in.

      That'll do it.

The cure-all for mag pressure problems is to pick up a Ninja reg.

You can shim the spring pack to adjust a the pressure up a bit, but if it is a low pressure spring pack you will need a different spring pack to get the necessary increase that you need. Just get a new HP belleville spring pack (PE part number 41313) to drop in it.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Did ninja ever come out with that higher pressure reg for mag owners? I gather the guy who runs Ninja used to work for AGD, so he's got a soft spot for us mag lovers.

I've been looking around and I can't find a single new regulator out there that has a higher potential output than 950, which is the ninja if you add all the shims.

Everyone seems to have discontinued their adjustable output regs that would go up to 1000-1200psi.

Yes they did! You have to call and order it, but they make one specifically for us mag owners. Basically its a different spring that allows the reg to run 1000-1100psi output but it is not adjustable like the normal ninja regs.

I picked up a 90 cu in 4500 psi ninja tank and with the stock output it is awesome! I'm still waiting on their shims though, they were supposed to mail me some 2 weeks ago.
