    Back in the game!

My boss thought it would be fun to get into paintball so I am just getting back into it. I have a minimag I havent used since 2002 and used it the other night. One thing it started to do is fire a hot shot. This only happened if I did not shoot for a couple of minutes. Anyone know how to prevent this? I run a remote line. I also need a new nubbin for the SP barrel. The origional broke jamming the bolt into the barrel but I fixed it and used my spare one.
    Cheers!

Use a paper clip for the nubbin. They work great.

First shot hot means you need a new regulator seat. If your mag has sat for a few years, it couldnt hurt to grab a parts kit and replace all the rings and the reg seat.

Check your regulator seat. Might need cleaning or replacement. Make sure it's in the right direction. It goes in easy on one side and hard on the other. You want it to go in hard.

Rub it with your thumb to clean it and make sure you get all the microscopic dirt off the face.

And clean the face of the reg pin that sits on the reg seat.

Depending on the oil you were using in 2002 and where you stored your mag, you may need to get some alcohol or wd40 after the reg to get the oil off the inside of the reg. Some of that stuff would get gummy.

Thanks! I will do that. Will the newer plastic nubbins fit?
Pictures of my Mag, I love this gun and took very good care of it

They plastic ones work fine but if your in a jam, any wire will work for it.

Thanks! I think I will head up to my local hobby shop and get some wire to make some up this weekend.

I'll second that. Not a huge fan of sights, but that is a very nice splash kit.

That Aimpoint red dot sight has saved me enough in paint to pay for the gun. I never leave home without it. One shot one kill.
