Okay so here's what's going on. I recently purchased an automag classic from a local dealer, and he was saying that I could run my gun off of CO2 with no worries. However when I got to the field, the guy running the field said that was a bad idea and if I'm going to use my mag I should run it on strictly nitro, and he loaned me a tank to use. (this is a stock gun w/ an after market barrel, and no upgrades as of yet). I'm just wondering what type of problems if any I could run into if I run this gun off CO2 for a while then switch to nitro. If you have any experience in doing this I would like to know how the marker performed when you ran it off the CO2. Also if you had any problems changing over to an HP tank after running the gun with CO2. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can provide.

As long as you get the liquid Co2 to boil off long before it reaches the gun, you will not have any problems.
I suggest at a minimum, and expansion chamber and/or a slinky remote. You could also get a Palmers Stabilizer, they are designed to reduce liquid flow.
Nitro is best of course, but if Co2 is all you can get, you won't be left behind. There are no reasons to not be able to switch from Co2 to nitro, I do it all the time with my Minimag.

The problem with running CO2 in your mag is liquid CO2 gets into your AIR valve, and freezes stuff up for yah, so you end up replacing o-rings and reg seats way too ofter, just like army said, you can stop or minimize the chances of getting liquid in your gun by adding an expansion chamber or palmer stabilizer ( http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/CATALOG/airsystems.htm ) and a remote coil. I can tell you, however, that from my experience a remote or expansion chamber by itself is not enough... (i haven't tried them both, just the one or the other) especially if you play in any conditions were the temperature drops below 50*FSelf-Proclaimed
