    E-Mag Battery Care

So I read the official AGD X-Mag manual on batteries and I've read several posts around here about E-Mag batteries, but I still had a few questions and I wanted to see what the general concensus was on the care of E/X-Mag batteries.

First of all what do you do at the end of a day of play with your battery? Do you just leave it at it's current charge and then top it off before the next day or do you discharge the battery and completely recharge it next time you want it. (and if you do discharge it, how do you do it? Leaving the e-mag on? Using a discharger? etc?)

Second, how do you charge your E-Mag battery? Do you just run it till the light turns green or do you let it charge the recommended 1~2 hours past the green/red switch to completely charge the battery.

The battery should last for months fully charged and no load. I like charging all of mine for at least 6 hours or overnight with the wall charger.

Always store rechargeable batteries with a full charge. They will maintain a charge for quite a while but should be topped up every couple of months. When rechargeable batteries get low, the electrodes start to grow a sulfate coating on the electrodes. The coating on the electrodes degrades their performance. By maintaining a full charge, you prevent the batteries from building up sulfate deposits.

The AGD battery is rapid charged for an hour to get it near full. Leave it on for a few more hours to top it off.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
