    Alloy used in X-valves?

guess I put this question in the wrong spot maybe?

what alloy (or alloys if the front and back are different) were/are used in making X-valves? I'm trying to get mine reanodised, and need to know what to tell the plating shop...

    thanks in advance!

If I remember correctly the front and back are not the same alloy. IIRC just the front is 7000, and the back is 6000. Don't quote me on that, but I believe I have read that once before.
