In post #5 I think OPBN asked about the 12g charger, but it's possible I misunderstood....

The problem is more likely a powertube spacer that is too long. If you need a shorter spacer, you can take one that you have now, and sand one end until it is shorter. The easiest way to keep the end flat is to lay a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface and rub one end of the spacer back and forth until it is short enough for you.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

You guys are all geniuses. I just took a few strokes with the PT spacer on some 150 grit and she shoots like a charm now, no pre-shot leak at all. Setting out to field test it this evening.
Thanks to Laku and athomas for the advice (and maverick13 as well).
And OPBN... if you ever did get into that pump kit, let's swap some paint since we're not that far apart.Comment

I got mine up and running a few years ago and it's been the main marker I've been playing with the last few seasons. Just finished up a minitacpump that's I'm still getting set up.You guys are all geniuses. Do you run it with a cram and jam/SC feed system, or just a regular hopper? I picked up one of those GXG 50rd hoppers that I'm going to try out tonight. We'll see if I can get the z body backspin running and really do some sniping.I got mine up and running a few years ago and it's been the main marker I've been playing with the last few seasons. A friend and I were thinking of heading down to check out Warzone Paint Games in the Toledo area the weekend after this (31 May). Any opinions on that one, or interest in meeting us there?Comment

I've changed the set up and got away from using the 12g's. Currently I am running a 68/45 with an empire sportshot. I'll find a pic and post I here of the current setup.
I've never been to Warzone I'll have to look into it. I remember there being a place around Toledo but thought it was mostly airball/speedball type fields. I'll look into it and let you know.Comment

A tip to anyone who might care to read the most recent (for the time being) thread on pump mags:
I have the newest generation of the rainman kit (no set screw in the pump handle). I noticed that the pump handle probably traveled farther forward than it needed to, so I took off the retaining rod and took a look. I took two of the larger classic valve on/off orings (the flexible ones) and dropped them loosely around the retaining rod before putting the pump plate back on.
Gassed it up... lo and behold I now have a pump stroke of right around 1/16" and no bolt impact on the pump rod. Sweeeeeet.Comment

I'm not sure I follow where you placed them, do you have pictures??A tip to anyone who might care to read the most recent (for the time being) thread on pump mags:

My pump stroke is probably more in the 1/4" range, maybe a little more. And that is without doing anything to the Rainman kit. I did have to bend the pump rod slightly to get it to have a smooth pump stroke. I also had a CCM pump handle drilled out so that it would fit, I really hated how his handle wasn't round and didn't fit right on the pump plate.
I don't know that I would want the stroke any shorter. It is already ridiculously short as it is now.
