    Pumpmag help

Strange thing with my pump mag, started chopping paint real bad at an event. It was shooting darts all day, took a break, then it chopped ball, one every ten. thought it was a broken ball in the hopper. Went to use it the next weekend, same thing. i chronoed it, tried differant barrels, differant hoppers, differant paint. i even tried a differant valve.
    the origional setup:
    agd pump kit
    ule, smartmag valve w'lvl10 (yes)
    stock on'off
    dynaflow ~750psi.

then i tried a lvl 7 bolt, same thing..all with evil paint, so i tried some rec paint, same thing.
then i swapped to an emag valve, same thing, and that valve is great otherwise. ive used rotors, picokios, dropped balls strait into the feedneck. cp and lurker barrles. i checked the detent too, seems ok, im lost....is there something im missing? lemme know if anyone has any clues, thanx in advance.

Sure it's chops? I've seen a lot of pneu'd mags breaking balls in the barrel. Something to do with timing being off and one ball catching up with the last in the barrel from what I understand.

Newt- thats pnuemags. This is a pumpmag.

I've had issues with a tight barrel breaking paint on my pumpmag. Try going bigger on the bore size. Also pumpmags don't like fragile paint. Just something to think about...

also it isnt' like a sniper2 or phantom or any other closed bolt gun so your best bet is to o bigger on bore size.

Take the wave spring out and convert it back to semi. Try to put some paint through it that way and see if it still does the same thing.

yeah, i know what you mean, but ive always used boresized good paint. the day it started doing this i was using .682 CP, evil paint (ussually 679) and it was fine all morn, not too hot either......however, i did have problems with the .678 Lurker barrel, maybe too small...

well, got some things to try, thanx so far all, ill post up with results

                  Hopefully it's just the bore.

As the day progresses and the sun comes out the paint can swell. This may have been your problem.

im gonna try tomarow with a couple barrels and differant paints too. i have been using small bores all the time....it seems the only thing really, plus i was looking at my Lurker barrel and saw a small wear spot on one side, looks like the bolt may be hitting, is that possible? the bolt must travel that far to breach the ball, also ive had mags that the valve seems to sit kinda funny, not perfectly in line with the body/bore....am i way off base lol?
