    Retro Valve Problem

so, I just got a used Retro Valve to replace my
original and I slaped it in and gased it up and it
won't fire. The trigger has pressure behind it,
no leaking, tried pushing on the bolt, adjusted
the velocity and the quick gassing of the marker.
Pulling the trigger does not cycle the marker
and pressure remains constant on the trigger at
    all times.

I've even put the original valve back in and it
worked fine. Don't think it's a gas thing since
I just filled the tank and its a fixed output.

    Any ideas?

Makes sure you have not adjusted the trigger rod. It should be exactly 1.98 inches front of rod to back of sear arm.

Haven't adjusted the trigger rod. And it still
fires properly with the old valve. Any other
      ideas? Tech guys?

put oil in the valve. if you know how to take it apart do this. then oil the orings thurly. the pin might be sticking on a dry oring.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

Well after checking the trigger rod and ensuring the correct measurement. If you do not have calipers the trigger rod should be 1/16 of an inch from the back of the trigger.

I would say your on/off pin could be too long call AGD and tell them your problem they will send you a new, shorter pin.

            Thanks for the replies everyone.

            I don't have calipers, just a ruler.
So, what length should a on/off pin be for
            a retro?

And it does look like the internals are oiled.

            Any other ideas?

You may need a shorter power tube spacer. I had the same thing happen to a friends gun.
If it wasn't for bad luck. I'd have no luck at all.

thanks again to all those that answered.

                  I'll try a different sear/trigger and then
if that doesn't work a spacer and then a good
                  old call to tech support.

Sounds to me like the trigger rod is too short to release the sear.
