    Rebuilding a 4500 PSI Flatline ???

I just got a 4500psi flatline regulator and I am in the process of rebuilding it. I ordered some reg seats and a flatline oring kit from Tunamart which I am waiting on.
I started to take the regulator apart and found that it has a white regulator seat that is very stiff, feels almost like a ceramic.
HOW do i remove this from the piston stem???
Also How do i get the on/off parts out??
I tried looking in the air system sticky, but the pics are gone and im not sure the text is for the 4500psi system.

I would apreciate any help, Thanks!

I have used heat to pull those, but I would be certain that you have the correct parts in before messing with it too much.

I was looking around and found an article in WARPIG about the flatlines.

I also figured out how to take it out. I used a small pin punch and just punched the piston straight through the seal.
I noticed almost all the other seals are the same as in the clasic and rt valves so I had most of them. I also put a clasic valve reg seat in there to see what would happen and it seems to be working. It will probably not last a weekend, but it may do in a pinch until I get the right seals.

Sorry, but I do not have these reg seats for sale any more. Also, if you used a punch tp drive the piston through the reg seat you most certainly bent the pin. That is not how it is done.

Oops. I think it survived, but for next time what is the best way to get it out?

              Flatline

What are the current Flatline repair options.

I just bought one and as is usually the case with 99.1% of my online purchases...it don't work.

I'm bummed because I've wanted a flatline FOREVER and finally got one and I'm back to square -1. Now not only do I not have one, I have yet another "project". Get in line behind the Smart Parts MaxFlo that still won't work!

So...lets say I wanted to pay somebody to fix this thing...is it possible? What are we talking by way of cost? And I'm talking somebody that is AGD or AGD trained or "really good"....not some guy that used to have one and owns a hammer and a workbench.

I think Tuna has a few reg seats for full rebuilds. I'd say Tuna would be the main man to check with on the rebuild. I have no idea on the cost though.

That was always my concern with getting the 4.5k Flatline. I've always wanted one but the risk of the reg seat going bad and having a sweet AGD paper-weight wasn't worth it in the end.

When I had mine I got the seat from tunaman, he had a limited supply so I was only able to get one from him. I know he does a good job of rebuilding them as well so he is your best bet in getting it fixed.

Measure the oring/seat size and buy one from an oring supplier. You should be able to find one somewhere that is the same shape, and once you have the dimensions, should be able to order it to match.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I know man...everyone says they work perfecty....then somehow magically they get to my door and there are leaks and problems. I'd blame it on the magical door, but it's happened at 3 different addresses...so I think people just break stuff and look for idiots like me to buy it.

I PMd the person I bought it from to see what he wants to do. And I pod Tunaman to see what he would charge for repairs. Worse comes to worse, it'll be yet another project. But depending on what Tuna would charge to fix it versus whether the seller will take it back...and go from there.

I have been interested in getting a flatline as well, but this makes me a little concerned...

so why is it that AGD doesn't sell these anymore, and why is it that we can't just go buy them from a bulk supplier like athomas said? Are they somehow special or what?
