I think there's some red locktight holding it on, but overall it's just threaded on.

be gentle with some small strap wrenches, and maybe some boiling water.

As for the pin, you have to drill it out or just sacrifice it.

when you say sacrifice it, does that mean leave it in the valve during ano?

Yeah, but I'd check with whoever is doing your Anno before you go that route.

Thanks a bunch. I tried the oven at 200 degrees and a strap wrench but i did not give it much force. I will try again.

THe power tube will come off with heat. There is a red oring under that that is NOT availible to the public. Contact Tunaman to get one, you will kill it taking the PT off.

That Zlock pin isnt coming out easy. You will have to drill it out. Also - when you re-anno the valve it will change the metal just enough where the pin wont line up in the same spot it was. (Which is why they are installed after anno). Tuna can install a new one if you want to replace it afterwards.

Arnold said that pin was no big deal and he just masks it off. I asked how many valves he had done and he laughed and said not to worry.

Thanks for the oring tip. I saw that and thought

I think i will just get a new tube to

Ok so i have a new to me x-valve and when I tried to remove the power tube tip, the whole power tube started to unscrew... and i did remove it (out of curiosity). Does this mean I need a new red oring for it?

Your oring will be fine. Normally you would have to heat the tip (which would melt the oring) to release the red lockite on the threads of the PT housing.
