    New Mag Owner

I recently purchased a used Emag after looking for one off and on over the years. My experience is limited with mags. Owned a RT for about a month and that was it. I just have a couple of questions I wanted to ask the all knowing forum here. The Mag is stock as far as I can tell.

1 Am I right in that the valve in my newly aquired mag marked EMag and has a EM seriel number the same as a X-valve just made of Stainless steel rather than aluminium?

2 What parts will I need to resuse and what parts will I need to aquire in order to use a ULE body? This thing has a 3inch tall feed neck and has got to go.

3 Any way to have the board uploaded with the most current software (been seeing something about xmod version blah blah blah) or is that a altogether new purchase?

4 Don't have a pic yet but would say marker is about a 6.5 to 7 out of 10 and is fully functional and came with both wall and car charger. Just to see how bad I got shafted or see how good I made off how much would one say this marker should have sold for?

Thanks for your input and see you in the middle some day.

Should come with a standard feedneck that you will probably want to upgrade to a clamping feedneck and you will need detents.

Pics would help, but as long a it isnt too beat up, it's worth about $350-450 IMO.

One thing you are going to have to determine is the condition of the battery. The marker sounds pretty original and if it has the original battery, it will already need replacing or replace soon. Your local Battery Plus, or maybe Radio Shack can rebuild the battery pack or you can get an upgraded one from KC here on AO.

PS. PM me pics of the body and I may be interested in buying it.

      ^Right on the mark^

One extra thing to note on the ULE body - You will have to remove the twist-lock assembly from the rail since the ULE bodies use 'cocker threaded barrels...

Thanks for the info Guys. I dont feel like I may have gotten shafted now. I gave 250 with HPA tank and two masks and assorted other items. Will post pic once I get more time.

        Another question:

With a ule body I still use the original rail correct? or would I better off getting something else?

Keep everything else. Just swap the body for the ULE...
