    Air walk frame troubles *HELP*

    ok big bad troubles here.

i picked up an Airwalk frame raw not clear ano'd.

in this picture the lpr is pretty much glued in.
what do i do or who can i send this to to get this out?

    <a href="http://s741.photobucket.com/albums/xx60/thetoolishere/?action=view&amp;current=100_0626.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx60/thetoolishere/th_100_0626.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>

second this picture shows a brass hex screw that was threaded through i cant get it out.
should it be drilled out and re tapped?
if so/not who do i send it to or how do i go about getting it out?

    <a href="http://s741.photobucket.com/albums/xx60/thetoolishere/?action=view&amp;current=100_0630.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i741.photobucket.com/albums/xx60/thetoolishere/th_100_0630.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket" ></a>

the reason i ask is i would like to get this anod black/dust.
i dont think i can leave the lpr in while getting anod.

help me please im at a lost here.

    thankyou,
    knownothingmags.

the hex screw your seeing on the bottom might be the bottom of the lpr use an allen wrench and screw it clockwise and see if it breaks loose...or if you dont want to mess with it, pm loguzzzzzz and maybe he can help you out with it.

You could drill it out and chase the threads.

The Drill size is a letter size "R" for an 1/8" x 27 NPT. The fractional equivalent would be 21/64".

You will need the drill and tap to complete this.

Since it is brass you might be able to tap a blade screwdriver in there and create a slot for the screwdriver to catch and unscrew the plug. I suggest using a screwdriver with a square shaft so you can use a "cresent" wrench on the it for added leverage. You would also use a "vise-grip" which would work on a round shaft screwdriver.

You could also try some sort of bolt extractor such and an "Easy-out".

Any of thise might work for you.

        Hope this helps.

          it seems really stuck.

if the screw driver doesnt work then just fall back on the drilling it out?

          let me know please.

          thankyou,

You can get a screw extractor and see if that'll work. Should be able to grab a hold of soft brass metal.

so even worse news, put a EZ out type of tool into the brass ring.

guess what, it ended up breaking off in the brass ring.
and it is a hardend steel so i cant drill into it.(i tried with a drill press)

              any ideas.

*in hind sight i should just not touch any AGD stuff.*

              please need massive help now.

if you need an update of pictures please let me know.

              thankyou,

Dont do any more damage, just send it over. I run into this on $150 million fighter jets all the time. You just need the proper tools

ROFL...How the hell did you break a screw extractor, in a brass fitting no less? I can see snapping the smaller ones but one that big?

                    That's awesome!!!

                      Nice to offer mag79!

You should be able to knock the "EZ out" out from the top side using a drift punch. I assume that the LPR is no longer in place and the screw extractor is poking into the inside base of the frame. I would think that a dift punch and a few taps with a mallet should back the EZ out out.

Good Luck with what ever you decide to try.
