Matching a body to E-mag lowers

I recently acquired a blue to wine fade E-mag. The rail and lowers match but the body is a chrome CF no-rise body. I'm really not digging the body much and I was wondering is this the way most of them came originally? Was there a blue to wine fade body from AGD?

I was hoping to get a raw ULE body and try to get an anodizer to try to match the lowers but AGD said they don't sell raw ULE bodies. I'm just wondering what my options are for getting an E-mag body that matches the lowers and rail better than just a chrome body.

The early Emags came out before aluminum ULE bodies, and stainless bodies cannot be annoed to match the lowers. Your best best would be to buy a used ULE body and send it along with the lowers to have the anno matched as closely as possible.

I wouldn't recommend trying to have an anodizer attempt to color match an existing part. It will NEVER end up the way you wanted it to be

        What they ^^^^ said.

Since the Emag came out before the ULE body the only real way to have it done would be to get a ULE body and send it in with the rest of the parts to get the whole thing done. At least that way it would all be fresh anno all the way around and you could even get the barrel and asa and all done as well. Pull a blue valve or have a black one done to match 100% front to back.

I almost bought that one... glad someone else did... The temptation was great. I've always loved the fade on that one. Not a super short line, but a long drifting fade....

Maybe just a blue ULE body then. I found this pic of another guy's E-mag.

That doesn't look too bad, definitely better than chrome. Blue ASA and I might be done.

The blue body looks really nice with that fade. I wonder what it would look like with a wine barrel?
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
