question, can any rail be milled for a pump kit? reason i ask is as i look around at the pumps out there most are on a am/mm rail just wondering and if the answer is no why exactly; pump kit specs?

I think most pump kits are made to fit AM/MM length rails. I am sure you could make one work on a full EM length rail, you would either have to measure and drill holes in the same position they would be on an AM/MM rail. However, in doing this, it looks like you would have clearance issues with the pump handle hitting the rail. So you would have to cut the rail. If you tried to move the mounting holes forward like in an older style RT Pro, the pump rod would have to be extended. -
I just got my rail and pump kit from XM15 *steve* and he did a great job of it. It was an AM rail, but he milled it out and really no reason why a man who can mill like that can't mill like that on any rail.
The pump kit he sent me is finished perfectly, well designed, and works great.Comment

Someone who knows what they are doing can mill an rt/emag length rail. You will need to use a custom kit though. A factory AGD pump kit won't work. The pump mount is milled for a am/mm rail and the cocking rod would need to be bigger.
I'm sure xm15 can do it. MPSD has had this done. Not sure who he used.Comment
