    LED Tapping Hole?

I'm working on my EP Mag and need to tap a hole to fit a LED on the back of my frame. Does any of you know the size of the tapping hole I need to make? Any advice on fixing the LED?

    Thanks!!!

What size LED? Most slide in to the hole and are affixed to the board. You'd do best to measure the tip of the LED, and the back, then drill a hole that's somewhere between the two sizes. No need to tap it, they're not threaded, just attach to the board or hold it in place with something (a bolt?).

If you are using the UTB it is a 5mm LED. If you don't have a 5mm drill bit I would go with 13/64 . No tapping required just drill the hole and clean up the edges, might put a dab of glue to hold the LED in place.

Yes I am using the UTB. Thanks for the fast answer!!!

About the tapping, it was a bad translation on my end. Don't worry I will only drill it!

You could replace the led with a 3mm if desired.
