I've had my 2k Micro for some time and I was looking for another foregrip other than the expansion chamber they've stuck with. I've looked on PTP's website and saw nothing. Does anyone know of anything else other than that I can use since no one uses C02 anymore?

I'm not sure why the use of c02 would be a factor. The Micromag 2000s were set up with HPA in mind - in fact many shipped with Micro-branded R/T valves. What you've got there isn't an expansion chamber by any means, it's a gas-through grip. If you remove the plug on the bottom you'll see that internally it's only a slightly larger diameter than a piece of macroline... It looks similar to a Benchmark expansion chamber plugged into an ASA because it's milled in the same style and is about the same size, but the expansion chamber is a multi-piece unit with a lot of internal milling to allow c02 to expand whereas what you have is just one piece of aluminum with a few holes drilled in it.Originally posted by Stingy McdingyI've had my 2k Micro for some time and I was looking for another foregrip other than the expansion chamber they've stuck with. I run a Micromag 2000 (X-valve) with 950psi input through the stock foregrip all the time and I've never had a problem with input pressure, but if you're hung up on looks you could seek out a "Micromag Vertical Adapter" which is basically an ASA that bolts on similarly to the foregrip and fits any Micro from Gen2 to Gen5 (Micro2000). Be warned, you don't want to put a regulator on there or you will actually starve the valve; the regulator is built into the valve, hence the common use of gasthru foregrips on automags.
PTP, having not made a Micromag in 10 years, no longer has any adapters I'm told (at least none that they can find) and the upcoming Micromag is a completely different system which is not compatible. Your best bet is to try the B/S/T section here on AO if you really think the VA is necessary. -
Yea mostly the looks bother me. From the outside the gas thru appears the same as the expansion they used to put back on earlier models. Thanks for the info.Originally posted by Frizzle FryI'm not sure why the use of c02 would be a factor.
