    automag classic upgrade help?

hello, i have a .68 automag classic i don't know much about the gun but i would appreciate any help on improving it. i recently bought the boomstick barrel for it and i was wondering if the lv10 super bolt is a good idea. also plz suggest a good hopper/tank i should use with it. i want to turn it into a very accurate and slightly faster gun i am fairly new to paintball and even newer with the technical things. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you. You should read over the AO FAQ Partly to know what you have, but also to know what doesn't apply to you. That way you can search the forum easier and pick out the stuff you like. There's about 10 years worth of stuff here. Facts, lies, opinions; you'll see the facts come back year after year from different people in different ways.

There's a whole set of youtube videos. Look for "Tom Kaye". There are 9 videos just about taking care of automags.

The Level 10 is a wonderful thing, after you get the hang of them. Don't get one until you are ready to figure it out. They take a little bit of study and homework. Once you figure it out though, you can use them on all of your mags just as easily as one.

If you care about such things, the RT on/off will cut the trigger pull in half, from a classic on/off. It is a drop-in change. A classic valve with a level 10 and an RT on/off is truly a great all-around semi-auto paint engine, imo. Put it in any setup you want to carry.

      Thx again

All i needed was to find a damn manual.fortunately and conveniently located on the the main website.I might not know much about paintball or its history but it seems that AGD, its employees and its consumers truly care about its products and their users. A little bit of old America in a company. ,Doug

I really think Spider summed it up pretty nicely. Since you also asked about a tank/hopper, though, I'll add my $0.02.

For a tank, please do yourself the favor and get compressed air. Any compressed air tank will do fine for a classic automag, although I would recommend at least a 68/4500 for size reasons. (Mags are air hogs.) If you absolutely cannot afford a compressed air tank, then either use CO2 on a remote line, or get a Palmer's stabilizer to keep liquid CO2 out of your gun.

Here's a whole thread about HPA if you want to read more.
Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

As for a hopper, most classic mag guys use revvys, but they're becoming hard to find. Another good, inexpensive buy is the ricochet apache loader. But again... why repeat here what's already been hashed out a hundred times. http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=218861

And welcome to the family. :)
