    Wow Bent Reg Pin

Ok you know the reg pin well I took mine out to clean and such and well I put the spring on it to put it back in and I realized that it was bent, it was crazy I was about to freak, I thought my velocity was a little wacky yesterday but i really didn't think much about it. well I just would like to know if there would be any problems from a bent reg pin,

    ok thanx

yes it could continue bending since it already has an initial bend in it. its best to replace the pin to avoid crazy velocity fluctuations.

Do not continue using that reg. valve pin. They're $5 w/ the spring through AGD. Just get a new one and replace it. The reason why they get bent is if you don't pay attention when you're screwing the reg. body back onto the front valve, the pin won't get seated in the center of the piston so when you tighten it, it bends the valve pin. The proper way to put it back together is to screw on the reg. valve body with the piston removed and then insert the piston and spring pack. This allows the reg. valve pin to center itself on the reg. seat and then when you slide in the piston, the reg. valve pin will properly seat itself in the center of the piston.
