The 2k9 MMs were all very tight in the area of the valve. I had to run a tank of air through it before it started behaving.

There's a hell of a lot more to it then that. If you get yours working by just removing/adding shims, I will hate you forever. I went through a good 7 tanks of air trying to get mine working.

I had to adj the sear, plunger, DWELL, ect...to get my lowers working with a ULT. Bad thing is you can never use a standard on/off with it again. Good thing is you now have the light trigger pull in Mech-Mode and due to that, you probably can get a few 1000 more shots from a weak battery in E-Mode.

As for your issue. I would go with what BE is saying and run a tank or 2 through the valve. Hopefully that'll be enough to "break-in" the body. If everything is set to specs with the new body, there should be no reason why you couldn't put that same valve in 10 different setups and still be within the same velocity (+/- 10-20fps) from each other. Also, the lvl 10 setup doesn't change from marker to marker either. Once your valve is set, it should be good period.

Well in regard to what I had posted earlier. I ran out of air testing my marker without any luck in getting a higher velocity.

Any idea where we can get gold springs? When I check the AGD site I could only find red (which are all sold out btw) and silver. I had tons of silver and the one red spring I had didn't seem to make much difference.

As I said, I've only run maybe 600~700 shots tops through mine so far and my air tank is empty at the moment. My plan is to take my 2k9 micro to my local shop, get my 70/45 filled and just dry fire out the entire tank (I've got a centerflag muffler barrel for back pressure and the foamie on my bolt is long gone anyways). I'll do that for one or two tanks work and see if that helped wear the body in any and gave me a velocity bump.

I'll let you guys know my results later this week!

Alright so a followup for everyone. I spent a few hours at my shop working today and eliminated several factors and possible solutions with no luck.

-I tuned the lvl 10 going with as loose a carrier as possible before I got leaks to reduce drag with no success.

-I tried red and gold bolt springs as well as a heavily cut down silver spring with no luck.

-I dry fired 4 tanks of air from a 70/4500 crossfire tank to wear the marker in. At the end of which there was noticable anno wear in the breech but only a slight velocity jump.

As before I tried several valves and they were shooting 230~240 in the micromag and 320-~340 in other mags. Honestly at this point I'm fed up with trying to get this mag up to velocity. I'm pretty close to just listing it for sale and hoping someone else has more luck with it.
