    Mag not firing

Just purchased an automag and having problems with it and after countless of hours playing with it and reading to find a solution I come grovelling here for help.

    My setup:
    68 valve
Lvl 7 ANS Phase II bolt
    ULE Body
    Intelliframe
    Standard bolt spring
    .225 powertube spacer

    The Problem:
When I first air up the gun I get one decent shot out of it. The shots following though only chuff (no velocity, bolt doesn't move forward all the way), like it is starving for air. If I wait long enough (5+ seconds) for it to recharge, I may get another decent shot. When I fire I can also hear the valve airing back up. What could be causing this?

This is the first mag I've owned in 15+ years so please excuse any ignorance on my behalf. I'm happy and quick to answer any questions though. Thank you!

try loosening the field strip screw like 1/4 turn
When I first got my first mag, I had similar symptoms and this solved it.
I now have a small oring on that screw to remind me not to over tighten it.

Unless the mag is purchased from someone you know and trust to be an expert on them, the first thing you want to do with any new to you mag, is change the orings. That way you will know everything is new and should work.

Change the bolt spring. If it is weak, it will cause bolt stick which will cause the gun to cough and not reset properly. This will increase the cycle time and prevent a fast recharge.

Make sure there is a bit of space between the back of the trigger and the front of the trigger rod when the trigger is held against the safety stop when the gun is aired up. If there is no space, then the on-off won't open up properly to charge the front chamber.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
