12v Warp Mod?

Is this simply two 9v adaptors wired together into another adapter? Similiar to the mod to use 2 9volts for a Halo?

NO, that would make it 18v.
They are wired to a regulator, you can look up LM7812 for the part and diagrams.

You need a 12v regulator AND a 1000 uf capacitor. If you dont put the cap in there, the vibe sensor goes nuts.

Have the one for the warp mod but it did not include the uf capacitor. Where would it be wired in?

I'm thinking it will probably just be easier to buy the mod from PTP.

Does this mod make the warp feed faster or does it give more useable time?

Or you can get 18 volt results with a lithium 11.1 volt battery and just wire it right into the power lines, no regulator required. Never buy batteries again. I have shot 25+ bps with my 12 volt mod. 11.1 volts will feed as fast as 18 volts in this configuration due to the amperage the lithium battery can provide. 18 volts will spin faster until you put the warp under a load, then the lithium battery shows why it will feed as fast or faster. Or thats my theory anyway. These batteries were about $30 and so was the charger, two years ago anyway.]

Also there are smaller 11 volt LiPo batteries that will fit into the warp battery casing. I only chose this larger one for extra battery life. So look around online and select one that is what you want.

Is it something like what would go into an airsoft gun? Any specs? I have a couple of places locally I might be able to call around to. Need something with a charger included.

WARNING: If you reverse polarity, even for a split second you will fry the board. So dont get the positive and negative mixed up, ever. I used a plug from an RC helicopter so this would never happen.

Could I take the connector off of the battery and put in a standard 9volt fitting to connect to the board?

Yes that will work fine. Just make sure the polarity is right before you plug it up.

True. Maybe I'll go to The Shack and see if they have any connectors that are idiot proof. All else fails, I could use automotive spade fittings with the shields.
