I did use the nose cone for the final battle. Makes a marker very top heavy but gives you the extra capacity. It would not be something I'd want to run with all day. Like others said, the taller profile was my only beef with it.

Oh you actually played with a Q? What were the issues you had with it? I know it only holds 100 rounds, but I think that just means I need to change my playing style (well, I haven't played in over a decade so who knows what my style is now???) which might be fun. I already have the velcro style pack with the sleeves that wrap around the Q so loading and unloading should be relatively easy.

Anyhow, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I used a QLoader for a few years and was a player rep for them for two. I'll be straight up with you, if you're not mechanically inclined stay away from the QLoader. You need to understand how it works. Once you do, it'll work great for you.

I think you're referring to cleaning / rewinding the springs. I think I'm mechanical enough to handle that, but we'll see. =)

I have heard a lot more negative than positive on the Qloader which is why i went to the warp feed instead. So far i really like it, i have a egg 2 & revy that i use on it. I have found that the revy works well on the warp and is light weight. Though with the egg 2 it does sit very well on the warp it just makes the setup a little side heavy. Im looking into gettn the new egg in hopes its a little lighter.

              Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I played with one for about a year. On the plus, it's fast enough to never worry about breaking even in a marker with zero anti chop designed in, and it's very tight. But it's a royal PITA to load especially between games when everyone else is having fun, has to be set up and tuned perfectly, and I've more than once slammed the nice little tube into a bunker and made a nice fountain of paint for the benefit of anyone watching at the moment.

I love it; it's easier to clean than a revvy and feeds more quickly consistently, and I've had bad luck with forcefed loaders on mags. I use a Halo on my other markers but my mag gets the Pinokio treatment. The longer nose cap is perfect for "hopperball" games, too.

My reason for not buying dye is personal. Years ago I shot Dave Dehaan in the a$$ and he wiped it. You might know him as David Youngblood, the founder of Dave Youngblood Enterprises (DYE). That's why I won't buy anything dye. It's pathetic I know.
That would be more than enough to get me to not buy anything from DYE - in fact, it makes me want to trade out all of my Sticky grips for something else.

Plus, there's the issue of the arguable false advertising with the Rotor. They claimed 50bps, yet it can do nowhere near that. Drop rate means nothing. A lot of people I know had a hard time even getting 20bps when they first came out. I find it funny how nobody has been able to replicate the "40 bps" in that DYE video.

Anyway, I've never owned a Rotor or a Pinokio. I tried a Rotor briefly on my Cocker and could get 15-16bps no problem, but that was just messing around. Everyone I've talked to locally has had some issues with the Rotor jamming; the extent of those issues I do not know. One thing I will say about the Rotor is that it's extremely durable and a very simple design, so for people that have a tendency to break their gear, I think the Rotor is the answer.

As far as the Pinokio goes, I've talked to a number of guys from across my state who say it feeds flawlessly; no jams, nothing. It is a taller loader, but they say that it sits back so far, most of the loader ends up being behind your bunker anyway.

I've used a Prophecy since they came out, and I consider that to be the best loader I've owned. It has virtually the same low profile as the Rotor (definitely the same if you go with the small nose cone; the standard cone is just as low, but longer.) It is lighter than the Rotor by quite a bit, and holds 240 balls with the stock cone. Also, it's very soft on paint and feeds my Mag very well. I have yet to outshoot it, but I'm not one to really go for ultra high rates of fire. I hit around 20bps on my Cocker and the loader was not yet maxed out for speed.

#1 cause of Rotors jamming is dirt. I have four Rotors in my family. Never had one jam.

DYE bases the 50BPS off the droprate. There's been a few tests out there but no one can disprove the 50BPS since the most a marker can fire is 30BPS. Rotor keeps up at that rate. I don't believe it would consistantly feed 30+BPS.

I wouldn't get a Rotor. It's a total rip off unless you find one used for $80 or so.

I'd just go for a Prophecy, even brand new, you can get one for $120. The only real downside to the Prophecy IMO is that breaking it down to clean the entire thing is kind of a PITA. For an $80 savings, I don't really care though.

FWIW, I have a Rotor and a Prophecy. The Rotor definitely feels more solid but I don't think it is worth almost twice the price and the Prophecy has never really given me any trouble.
