Short Air Leak With Trigger Depressed

    Hi All,

So i'm in the finally bits of tuning up my almost new xvalve and ran into a bit of an issue.

When I depress and hold the trigger, some air leaks out for about 3 or 4 seconds then it stops.

Is this a problem with the on / off, or possibly a level X carrier that's just slightly too large? The reason I ask is that I don't have any extra carriers (only the 2.0).

    Thanks,
    Steve

The leak that you are describing does occur sometimes in a level 10 setup. Don't worry about it. It is normal. The reason is due to the oring being just tight enough to seal and depends on perfect alignment and positioning. When the bolt returns, it can push the oring back a bit and it will leak until the air pressure in the chamber seats it back into place. If you have any shims in the level 10 setup, you might be able to reduce the effect by removing them. If not, it isn't going to affect the operation and it will only occur when you hold the trigger.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
