    Classic Valve supercharging

I'll describe this the best I can. I have a 68 Classic Valve which I had leak problems with, I bought a rebuild kit and fixed the leak. The problem I'm having now is that when I air it up and fire immediately, the isn't much input pressure and will fire around 190 fps. If I wait before firing, it'll charge up until it leaks out the back and shoot around 350 fps. My thought was that the reg pin spring is worn out. Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

Sounds more like a bad or re-used regulator seat. I had similar recharge issues with one before and a new reg seat was the cure.

If you fixed the leak and left the old seat in there then that is mostlikely your problem.

I did replace everything out of the kit including the reg seat (and yes I know to put it so it snaps in hard and holds into place), but I put a new one in out of another kit and it did fix the problem. Thanks very much, my old classic will actually get to see some action tomorrow now
