    Double Trigger

Hello all, been awhile since I've been on. I have a Tac-One that I bought new around '02. I ordered it with a single trigger and had the Intelliframe mechanical double trigger that would have come with it sent with it in case I ever wanted to try it. I only play woodsball and have used the single trigger setup with alot of success. The marker was "tuned" from AGD with the single trigger and puts out alot of paint but lately I want to try the double trigger but it needs to be "tuned" with the double trigger on it. I have read some of the info about this on the forum and have tried several things like adjusting the shims but have have had no change. I cannot get the double trigger to bounce like the single trigger and I do not want to do too much because of lack of experience and I do not want to screw up how well it shoots with the single trigger. At least I have that for now since I only have one mag. I geuss what I am getting at is that maybe I have missed something and probably need some direction. I do not mind sending it off (to AGD and I did email Tunaman but no response yet) but would like to learn how to do it myself so I can correct problems down the road. Thanks for info.

If everything was working properly before, it should remain that way, even after changing the frame. The only thing that could change is the trigger rod length, but going from one AGD frame to another shouldn't be and issue there either.

A double trigger won't be as responsive unless you pull the trigger at the same point as with the single trigger. If you pull the trigger farther from the top, the return force won't have the same effect due to leverage.

Shims won't help. Don't put any in.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I will try adjusting the rod length. Thanks.

        For adjusting the trigger rod:

        - Air up the gun
        - Put the safety on
        - Hold the trigger against the safety
        - Check the gap between the front of the trigger rod and the back of the trigger. It should be about a credit card width of separation.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

I finally had some time to try adjusting. I easily got the single trigger to be very reactive. I had it shooting similar to a tippmann response trigger with only a small adjustment. Lots of fun but I changed the adjustment back to the original. I then tried the double trigger and never really got much change out of it. I only have experience with my single tiggered tac-one so I really do not know how a double trigger is supposed to feel. It may be that I am not very good with a double trigger but from streaming footage I have watched of people shooting them, it did not look very hard to at least get off a few shots without much trouble. I could not even get a double shot accomplished???

Are you pulling the trigger with one finger at a point directly in front of, or above, the trigger rod?
