    Air Pouring out the barrel... sometimes.

    Ok so let me describe the problem;

    I pull the trigger, it shoots. Then when i release the trigger air just pours out the barrel. I pull the trigger back and it stops. I release and it starts.

    The wierd thing is that it only happens sometimes. Usually when I've taken apart my mag then put it back together.

    I think it's because I'm putting the sear back in wrong sometimes and then other times I do it right.

    It's either your power tube spacer / level ten carrier.. or you are putting your thumb screw in too tight or too loose.

      It could be too many shims in the powertube if its a level 10 bolt, or a spacer that is too long if it is a level 7 bolt. Is the trigger fully engaged and does the bolt fully reset after a shot?
      Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

        It's a classic minimag valve. No upgrades. I'm pretty sure the trigger is not fully engaging and the bolt doesn't fully reset. Also, really the thumb screw? I think maybe your right though...

          Probably not the thumb screw on this setup.

          Since the bolt is not resetting, it usually indicates a bolt stick issue. On classic mags, the things to check are:

          - powertube spacer too short
          - worn bolt spring
          - missing rail bushing
          - sear axle pin not pressed into the rail all the way
          Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
