generally u'd want approx. 1 business card's width between the rod and the trigger when pressurized i think it was, that's how i set mine n has yet to fail

Put the safety on. Hold the trigger against the safety stop with the gun aired up. The trigger rod should be adjusted so that it almost touches the back of the trigger. As mentioned, a credit card thickness is about right.
