Are you having problems with your current on/off or valve? If not, then don't.

      Agreed.

I have heard nothing good about any aftermarket on/off assemblies. The BEST I've heard was that it didn't affect anything whatsoever...and even that was rare.

The problem with the after marker on/offs is that they are (like most parts for mags) is that they are worse that the stock parts. So just keep the stock on/off or put a rt on/off in the classic valve to reduce the trigger pull if thats what you are looking to do.

I'm not talking specifically about the on/off valve I'll have to find the proper name on a exploded view.

The current AGD version is the top right one. If you have either of the 2 lower left ones. Go with the one you linked or the current AGD one. If your feeling froggy...Toss in a RT on/off.

The on/off usually isn't much of a problem until you get above 10 bps with the cross type (2nd from the left). They just have some sharp edges and are a bit narrow. You could just buy a new top when you order some bumpers or nubbins, etc. from AGD. The new top is good up to around 13 bps, iirc. Beyond that rate you have to start watching the overall on/off pin travel, reg recharge, and trigger control because your approaching the cycle tme limit around 17 bps.

More important is that the port in the reg back is set at 12 o'clock to match the charging port in the valve body when they are screwed together. If you have a reg that isn't clocked right, you can get a matching hole drilled to take care of that problem.

Beyond that, just feed them with a fast bottle reg set around 850 psi or higher and you should not have any noticeable shootdown.

I have an reg back with multiple holes drilled in it. so that shouldnt be a problem, just wanted to get the most I could out of the classic valve, ie safely shoot 15+/-1 bps, havent had a problem with shootdown yet so not too worried.
