well once its charged all you should have to do to turn on a emag is pull out the yellow on/off pin from the side of the battery pack and it should come right on the buttons are just for changing the settings.

Its the one as pictured here in a pic from Rulermark

no it doesnt have to be aired up if its still not coming on check to see if any wires are loose on the board and then maybe mess with the prongs on the battery to make sure they are making full contact with the upper contacts

put and oring in the inside of the battery pack on the bottom.
          see if that helps.

the clearance might be off for the battery the battery will sit on the oring allowing for any clearence problems to be cured.

other then that maybe you got sold an emag with a bad board.

A few other things it could be is a bad ground. There's a single screw that holds the board down. Remove it and run a 4-40 tap down the hole or just find yourself a scribe or something small and sharp to put in the hole and rough up the threads a little. Your basically removing any corrosion that might have build up on the threads. If that does nothing for you, your trigger magnet might be too close to the HALL sensor. Adj the magnet away from the sensor.

                  thanks

Got it. The field strip screw was not exactly tight enough for the battery to have a good contact

If this is the cause, pull the battery pack tabs up a bit to close the gap. It will give more pressure on the contacts so there is less chance of a vibration causing an issue during a game. The oring trick also helps this. Use a fairly thick oring. The battery should be sitting as high in the housing as it can.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
