it is steel i would use a drill from the top. You will need to tap the hole for 4-40set screw threads when your done to make a new ground stud.

it is steel , you should be able to drive it out from the bottom ( hole goes all the way through ) it is a pin that has " spiral " "thread " on the outside it ,,, IIRC

I hammered mine out before ano using a long punch and centering the frame between two peices of wood. For a replacement, I didnt even tap it, just used some sheet metal screws I had that were about the right size, ran a drill bit through to make sure there was bare metal and then just put a round head screw in. I think the profile was a little lower so I bent the tab on the battery terminal to make sure there was a good connection.

                    GOT IT!!!!!

didnt use a punch since i lost the one of mine that fits aparently.

i used a small titanium pin from my wheel hex nuts from my rc car.
put it in the hole. laid a two by four on a cinder block then laid just the end of the frame on the two by four and whack with a hammer on the pin and pop comes out pin.
                    easy.

                    thanks for the input,
