I want ot use an ego board with a clapper-noid out of a spider rather than the spider board, does anyone know if this can be plugged straight into the board or do i have to move across the capacitor etc

The capacitor is located on the battery side to supply the impulse power required to activate the solenoid. That won't change for any board using the same power supply and same solenoid. As long as the new board you are using uses the same power supply and can supply the same required current to the solenoid as the one you are replacing, you can do a direct replacement of the old board with the new one.
