Refinishing Minimag body

Anybody he refinished a minimag body themselves?
How Hard is it to strip the original coating.
Also, what wouldn't cost to have a body re-chromed?

Just polish it. They are solid stainless steel.

There are some people on here that offer polishing services for SS bodies. LK13 comes to mind. It can be done yourself starting with 220 grit paper and working up to progressively finer papers until youre at 1500 grit. Recently, I did another one and got up to the 800 grit before I switched to a buffing wheel. Search the phrase "polish" and you will come up with some threads on the subject.
