AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Okay, I have a minimag body and an RT Pro rail. If I file down the trigger mount stud on the body to fit the circular hole in the rail, with it work okay?
Thanks for the info everyone.
Looks like modifying the rail would be easiest and the best way to go.
If I go back to a body with a round tab will it work okay in the modified rail?
Your rail has a screw hole in it for the front frame screw. As long as that stays aligned and mates with the body, it's hard to screw up. (Keeping in mind that the rail itself is cup shaped to fit the body in one direction anyway) I filed the pim down on my Minimag body to fit the rail. It takes more filing than you'd think to get it able to fit.
As long as the pim fits the pocket in the rail, the body will fit the rail. You can either file down the pin so that it is round, or you can machine out the rail so that it is oblong.
Make sure the depth is correct as well. The depth of the RT rails is usually more than the depth of the AM/MM rails, so that shouldn't be a problem here.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
