    Level 10 and cold.

Been itching to get out and play, so I braved the cold and went. Started out the day with my trusty Xvalved mech. Took a little to get it to not leak down the barrel. Got about 2 hours or so of play in before it just started leaking pretty bad and at one point stopped resetting. Went back to the car, picked up my Xvalved E-mag, aired it up and it leaked as well. couldn't get it to stop. Went to my X Valved VER framed MM2k9, and.... yep, leaked. I could get it a little better, but still a small leak. Oh, and the trigger was sticking, but thats another issue. Oh, and my Mag pump decided to eat a couple of on/off o-rings and push me over the edge.

I checked every single one of the Xvalved Mags a day or so ago to make sure all were working. Has anyone else had issues with the Level X and cold? It was high 20's/low 30's with a decent wind at times. And it was snowing.

Metal expands and contracts with cold. If the temperature swing from normal operating temperature or the temperature at which the level 10 was tuned is a large value, then it could affect the carrier size required to work properly. You should probably use a new oring and carrier setup for cold weather play. Mark it when you have one that works. That way, you can quickly change from one carrier/oring setup to another to compensate for extreme temperature swings which will allow you to play in much colder weather than you normally would.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

...or go Classic CO2/Xchamber. Worked since '96 for CT woodsball. Just keep the car running w an xtra bottle warming on the floor mat.

Anyone know if Level 7 bolts would have this issue? Thinking about just putting together a non-ULT, non Level 10 mech mag for use when its cold. I used to keep a bone stock 98 in my gear back for my ultimate backup, but have since sold it.

I played yesterday outdoors in temps around 35 with cold winds. I had some leaking issues and multiple shots per trigger pull as well running a classic with a level ten upgrade kit. I ended up pulling it apart, oiling the o-rings and reassmbling it. When I aired it back up, it shot like a champ all day.

You're not alone in this. Last weekend, about 5 deg C outside I decided to rough it.. Xmag, exact same issues you saw, my IT mag, same deal. Ended up using the Phantom all day.. I really wanted to use my mags tho :S
