Is it possible to anodize AGD detents? How do you take the ball out?

Seems possible but highly risky with the tolerances, considering the problems with detents anyway. ANS has quite a few CP angel detents in several colors. That would probably be cheaper and more reliable if you could get the color you want.
The only time I've seen the ball come out is when it won't stay in on its own anyway.
