What does it mean when the gun is leaking from the little hole on the front half of the valve? The gun has a lvl 10, it seems to fire ok but is leaking out of that hole constantly, even when the trigger is pulled.

Also, is there a resource to identify leaks and what could be causing them?

It means there is an unsafe high pressure situation going on inside the valve. Check the reg seat oring or reg pin. Possibly debris stuck in there.

It was the reg pin. The gun was nasty dirty when I got it. I cleaned that sucker out and replaced the orings. What eventually worked was I replaced the reg pin with another from a non working gun. It seems to work beautifully now
