    gas through foregrip question

I wanna just use an old reg instead of buying a gas through for my automag. If i take all the internals out of my boblong reg would this provide enough air flow for the valve to cycle properly at high rate of fire? or do i need to drill it out?

I would think as long as there are no restrictions in any of the passageways that it should be fine just gutting it.

If the reg does not have a vent hole then yes. If it does then no it will just leak.

Hmm how common is it for regs to not have vent holes?

If it has a vent hole, I would bet you could tap it and plug it.

ahh good point, well it appears mine doesnt have a vent hole, but im wondering if the stock ego hprs do, my plan is to drill one of those out as a gas through once i have the gun together and working

You could use a spacer instead of a spring to hold the regulator in the open position. That would give the regulator full flow at the supply pressure and you wouldn't need to worry about the vent hole.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
