xmag steel breech oring replacement question.

How hard is is to remove the steel oring breech in a xmag for re-anno and then placing it back after new anno?

Who can do this safely?

If the ring was to get damaged, where to get another one?

pretty sure its easy to re move just a c clip ring on the inside. dental pic should do. and tuna has replacements just bought ring and clip from him.

ya its literally just a steel washer and a c clip that holds it in. nothing to major coming out. i put mine in my self.

The Xmag uses a threaded insert. There is no c clip. There is a metric set screw that holds in in place, but most of the time you cant just unscrew the insert without the tool.

if you smash the set screw into this breech ring, you can damage it very much.
the un cnc xmag or euro xmag i bought, was this way i had to runa tap and use my jewlers files to repais or sand down the smashed threads.
it will never be the same sadly.

Yeah they just unscrew. If you mess the threads up in the body i can help you. I think i did it for evil years ago.

i used a long bolt, put a nut/washers on each side of the ring tightened them up and then unscrewd it with the bolt end. worked great.
