    Powder coating removal

    So I have this powder coated e-mag but I'm not do happy with it. The job was really good but it's not my thing. How do I remove powder coating so I can prep it for anno? It's a ule body.

    Use a very high quality paint stripper. I got some from Home Depot a while ago. Google Aircraft paint remover and see what you get, that is what I did. I stripped the orange powder coat from one of the Tiberius SA-8 "Pepperball" guns and it turned out fine.

      Thanks. My buddy told me oven cleaner. Paint remover would bemuch better.

        Some use oven cleaner to strip ano, I use Draino for that.

          I had no idea you can strip anno. I am waiting patiently to hear from gruntbull about my project.

            Just a word of advise... there have been some huge issues with Gruntbull over the past couple of years. You may want to be VERY careful when dealing with them.

            If using paint stripper to remove powdercoating, check automotive stores. I have heard that M.E.K., Methyl Ethyl Ketone, will strip about anything, but I also think it may be considered a hazardous material and may turn your swimmers into floaters if you inhale too much of it if you know what i mean.
